The Rocker Box by Bullet Bob, "the Prez"

Greetings,

Hey Club Members, Boy, Spring is clipping right along. We have our 1st gold show behind us, the garage sale is next. Our sale will be at Vern Conn's place, out along the Empire/Charleston Highway. His house is the Pink one, a couple of houses south of the geodesic house that overlooks the bay. The dates of the sale are May 11 & 12th (Friday and Saturday). To drop off stuff for the sale, contact Vern at 541-888-2818. If you can't deliver your items, bring them to the meeting this month, Thursday, May 10th, and we will take them to Vern's after the meeting. This brings us to the next part of the puzzle. At the meeting, we will need some people with pickups to help take the stuff to Vern's After the meeting. I am sure there is a need for help at the sale. Please contact Vern Conn, 541-888-2818, if you are able/willing to help. He knows what is going on and what help he could use. At the same time as the garage sale, Forrest, our VP, has offered to share his booth at Lakeside's "Crawdad Festival". We will run the spinning wheel, the coin drop jug and sell basic equipment. If you live near Lakeside, this would be a good chance to help out, without The Rocker Box by Bullet Bob, "the Prez" traveling to far. Please call Forrest at 541-908-2354 if you can/will help. We have mailed the check for our new claim. We should have the quit-claim in hand soon. Then we will plan a work party over to get more user friendly. We have neighbors above and below our claim. We will have to be considerate and keep our impact minimal so NBP won't cause problems for ourselves down the road. The Barbara Mary outing will have to be changed. We went up there and it's going to take a lot of work to clean up the downed trees and limbs from the last winter's snows. The board will figure out what we'll do and let it be known at the meeting. The last outing to Island Creek, was a very good outing. Mike & Dan's trommel works well and was finding good gold. Our new guy, Jasson Goad, found a nice big flake and we all found a bunch of hotdogs and potato salad. The weather was great, life was good. Let's do it again, sometime. We will be doing our gold panning booth at the "Powers Fishing Derby" again this year. It will be Saturday June 9th at the Powers Park. Come and help teach 120 kids how to pan gold. Let's all hope or pray for good weather for our garage sale and Crawdad Festival. If things go well, we will be poised to look for another claim. Come to the meeting to get the lowdown on what's going on.

Your Prez, Bullet Bob

Welcome to North Bend Prospectors, Inc., a family-oriented small miner's non-profit 501 C (3) corporation dedicated to the enjoyable, relaxing, and potentially profitable activities of rock hounding, metal detecting, gold prospecting and mineral hunting. Please look around our website and make yourself at home.

* Are you looking for a relaxing way to enjoy your leisure time? Well, Prospecting is not always relaxing, but enjoyable!

* Do you enjoy the outdoors?
* Ever thought about trying your hand at gold, rock or mineral prospecting?
* Does creating new friendships and gathering with others who have the same interest as you sound appealing?
* Is sitting around a campfire during an evening with others after enjoying a scrumptious potluck meal sharing your days' mining experiences sound like something you'd like?
* How about the chance to win a nice gold nugget with the raffle tickets you're holding?

You've come to the right place! "But I've never tried prospecting before..." or "Not all my family members are interested in prospecting...". Not a problem. We have folks who have prospected for years who are more than happy to show you how. Whether you have a gold pan and want to know how "it works" or you've just bought a dredge and need some instruction on how to use it, we at NBPI are there to help. For those family members not really interested in prospecting but enjoy the outdoors there other activities available during our outings such as cooking, hiking, fishing or just taking a nice snooze in the shade of a nice-smelling pine tree.
